![]() ![]() Wait for the flares to get popped and stick on their rear for a few seconds. Makes for an easier time to hit the intended target, and also much harder to hit you with anti-air.įor Air to Air combat, if you get behind someone let the missile lock get on them. Once you start to get beyond the visible distance, cut back on the throttle and make a nice slow turn and try to come down from exactly over the target. When you are getting a bead on ground targets do a quick fly by, and put the afterburners on while you head straight up. If you full throttle it, expect to die a lot. They lowered the damages on BF: DC so you couldn't do that anymore, but hey it works nicely here. Nothing like a happy happy joy joy kamikazi into a tank that's pinning down infantry going for a flag. If you are going to ditch a plane, at least ditch it in the tail pipes of an enemy tank for great justice. That's all i can think of for now, hope somethign in there helps! Don't jerk your joystick around when flying chopper, take things easy and make very subtle movements with joystick to see how the chopper reacts. When flying a chopper you have to realize it is very sensitive, and every movement you make you must perform the opposite movement to stabilize yourself again. ![]() This is so you stay on their rear and won't lose them. If they are leaving contrails it's much easier to do this, otherwise just count a few seconds then start turning. You need to time your turn so you turn at about the same spot they turned. don't turn as soon as you see them turn, otherwise you end up with a tighter arc and can end up becoming the guy being chased. But it's alot harder to shoot down a jet using cannons.Īlso, when chasing an enemy jet and they start turning, WAIT. Could also be sneaky and never witch out of bombing mode, just use cannons. If you're quick they usually never have a chance to react before the missiles hit. ![]() Wait for them to be flying in a straight line then quickly switch to air-to-air mode and unleash missiles. ![]() Try to get behind them and follow at a relatively close range. When you come accross another jet you are hopefully in bombing mode so they don't hear the alert of you locking on to them. When bombing ground targets you'll either want to dive at a steep angle for better accuracy or learn to time the drops- you should almost always drop sooner than you might think. Try to keep your jet in bombing mode while you're just cruising around, so you don't alert any other jets if you happen o come accross one. I think it's less lenient when you're in a chopper. Don't be afraid to fly into most areas marked with red diagnol shading, I find when you're in a jet you can usually fly pretty deep into "out-of-bounds" area before it starts to complain. You need to pay attention to the minimap as much as you do your crosshairs- knowing your position is vital. When flying a jet you should already be familiar with the map and it's boundaries. I always use my joystick for planes and helos- Logitech wingman extreme. With helos I've gotten really good, people started to compliment me on my flying which I never heard before and is quite flattering. I fly ok with jets now, to the point where I'm very good at bombing (most of the time I kill my intended target). I kept all my key/button maps to default. ![]()
